Each week, we attempt to share the overwhelming number of stories from across the country highlighting both the struggles and the triumphs of exonerees once they’ve attained their long-awaited freedom from the shackles of a wrongful conviction. We hope these stories will not only raise awareness toward this ongoing blight on our national criminal justice system, but also affect you in more profound ways, so that you feel compelled to reach out and assist the exonerees in your own communities with whatever means available. It’s important to always keep in mind that the struggles associated with a wrongful conviction are far from over upon exoneration.
