Record Number of Exonerations in 2014

In the past year, a record number (125) of prisoners in the United States have been exonerated, thanks to the efforts of the many hard-working and unheralded innocence projects across the country.  Much of the pressure exerted by those organizations has led to the establishment of conviction integrity units, which are now working to correct the past injustices visited upon those who have been wrongfully convicted.
