Reflection on the LAI Fundraiser

Our Second Annual Turkey Toss fundraiser was a great success, thanks in large part to some last-minute adjustments and great company.  We received substantial donations from those who attended and from many of our out-of-state supporters.   Our improvised but highly entertaining table-top tournament drew a lot of interest from those who came and kept the event going well past midnight.   The winners of the tournament went home with two tickets to the upcoming Bulls game against the Warriors on December 6th.

We had an amazing turn out, which included many of our exoneree clients. James Kluppelberg, a relatively recent exoneree, even won the 50/50 raffle! We also raised enough money to be able to send two exonerees to the Innocence Conference in Orlando, Florida this year. Thank you so much to everyone who came out and made our event such a success. We hope to see you all again next year!
